CDP Help - What Will I Gain?

Hi Everyone,

Looking for thoughts on if switching out my current CD source will gain me anything. I am currently using a 10 year old Marantz DV-18Mk.II as a source and I am considering a new/used one. As I have said in the past my budget is 2k or less. Is it a waste of money to upgrade the source? I really do not care that much about SACD/HDCD and all that stuff...

The current contenders are:
Rega Apollo/Music Hall/Marantz SA-11 or a Modified Jolida

My system is undergoing a lots of changes right now and here is what I will be using:

Turntable: Rega P3 - Love it!
PhonoStage: Acurus P10
CDP: ???
Int. Amp: Primaluna Prologue One
Speakers: Merlin TSM-mm's upgraded to "e"
Interconnects: Audiance AU-24's

Thoughts? Ideas?
