CD player w/HDCD for under $600?

Hi! My first post here.

I need to replace my 14 year-old Rotel RCD-855. It's getting a little tired, and I want HDCD decoding. I'm thinking of getting a Rotel 1072 if I can find a new one under $600, or maybe a NAD 542, for under $400. Are there any other options in the $400-$600 price range? I might be overbuying with the 1072 considering my speakers, Triangle Titus 200s. And should I buy online or bricks-and-mortar? Thanks!
