Bullet, the Adcom has a 20 bit DAC while your Parasound uses a 24 bit DAC. I use a Channel Islands VDA-2 for both my Sony and Oppo digital sources to make them sound better. You probably should look into one of the available DACs with a USB interface if you are going to use it with your computer. DIYEDEN and Scott Nixon come to mind.
