I was set to purchase the MHZS three months ago but cancelled my order after learning it was on back order. I then became intrigued by the Doge 6, a $1400 player made in China (that's a lotta $$$ for a Chinese made CD player). I took the plunge, put another $100 into upgraded tubes (per Pacific Valve) and now have the best redbook player that has ever graced my system (better than Modwright 9000ES full mod, Modwright 999ES full mod, Marantz 11S, Musical Fidelity 308CR, etc. I let the owner of Echo Audio in Portland, OR borrow the player for several days to get his opinion - "this is so good it is sick". He has contacted Pacific Valve about becoming a west coast distributor. I have no doubt that if this player was made in North America or Europe it would retail for $5k and the audio press would call it a screaming bargain.
