I can offer some tweaks that improve its (861) performance.
First, put it on a suspension that gives horizontal freedom. Remove the pointy feet that mimic cones and float it directly on roller-balls of some sort, such as Symposium or a DIY version. The fancy transport is not immune to horizontal vibration that causes a blurring of the details if not skips in the playback.
Second, feed it with the best AC you can buy. A dedicated (to the Wadia only) circuit with an RF-damped power cord and an Oyaide outlet device work for me and are cheaper than a good regenerator.
Third, be sure the cables connected to it do not transmit acoustic vibration into it. Support your cables as if they were components.
