Transports seem to be a tough call these days. There is either cheap or really expensive. I have been using a pioneer PD65 as transport with stable platter. It can't last for ever so I have been looking at transports. The CEC belt drive seems interesting. Stereotimes really like the ~$1200 model. Do wonder about the belt life. Would be worried buying used transport. Most highend companies can't really fix them (usually sourced from some large electronics company). This even took the Linn CD12 off the market. Company stopped making the drive mechanism. Teac sure makes some incrdible transports. Way over budget though. Will watch this question with interest.
