See if this helps you get my audio problem.........
In reply...
My challenge is my cable/antenna connection from the tv, and any way to connect my external audio device, my RCA RT 2760 5.1 channel home theater to the tv.
I am in the tv Cable/OTA input of the tv, which is the VHF/UHF IN connection ( see specs of tv & audio device from original posting ) and my basic cable connection ( w/o a box ) feeds into the tv as well as my OTA HD Channels that come through clear. This is the routine tv Cable/OTA video input and the audio provided defaults to the tv speakers .
Now in order to link the audio of the tv technology of that broadcast into the external audio device RCA RT 2760 IS the problem.
I have tried all of the standard & dopey possibilities.
Now, There is a coaxial audio connection on the tv designed to deliver tv audio from the tv to the external audio device. However, THAT Signal from the tv appears to be, perhaps, not compatable ( probably a digital signal ) with the coaxial digital connection on the external stereo/home theater receiver.
That is where I'm at now.
How do I get home ?
I have an uneducated guess. Maybe the signal from the tv is not compatable with the RCA RT 2760 receiver.
If that seems possible....whatever idea you think is certainly worth a shot.
But, ponder this...if the signals are not compatable, will a RF Modulator or any other device convert/decode/debug/descramble the audio signal so that it can be feed through the external stereo/home theater ????
That is the question !
