I have an audio-wiring hook-up problem that I cannot identify.
I have a new LCD HDTV and a 5.1 channel audio home theater system that I cannot get any decent audio from.
After reading the manuals and trying a couple of other things, I just can't figure it out ! @#*X#*^ Yikes !
I need any possible solution and certainly any help or idea out there.
Here are the input panels for your review:

These are the plug-in panels for each set.

In the old days we use to trick cable tv with a vcr for a strong stereo sound and then you were rocking..............anything new tricks like that ???

I'll try any suggestion offered

I tried the coaxial audio out from the tv into the dvd coaxial input and pressed the dvd selector on the front of the receiver without success.
Basically what I'm trying to do is feed the audio from the tv into the receiver.
If I need another device like a dvd player or vcr to accomplish this then that'll be fine
If it's worth noting...new hdtv's produce a digital sound signal and alot of receivers produce analog signals and are generally uncompatible. So, if you could speak to this possibility and any way to circumvent it would be appreciated.

my original reference to the old days of audio tricks like taking a old tv wiith a cable box and a vcr, then introducing stereo sound by plugging the receiver through the vcr to get a decent sound because tv's only had an antenna receptacle.

perhaps there are new ways to overcome any incompatability between digital & analog signals .

I hope this helps explain.......if not........I'll try again.
thanks in advance
