Afraid not. For starters, the chassis would be thrown out and a full sized chassis purchased, then highly expensive output transformers, then the right power supply, etc, etc. There would be so little 3.1 Sig left it wouldn't be cost effective. Better to sell the 3.1 Sig to someone for whom it would be a significant upgrade and buy a 3.1 Balanced outright. I am told that the DAC2.1x Bal made the 3.1x and 3.1x Sig redundant and so they were eliminated.
