Ah Tjoeb 4000 any good as a transport??

Has anyone used there Ah! Auper Tjoeb 4000 as a transport only?? I was just curious if I want to upgrade to a better quality DAC in the future if the Tjoeb would do a good job as a trasport?? I imagine it should be as good if not better than the cheap DVD players some are using?? Its power supply seems decent and it has a digital output transformer. Any opinions???
PS there is nothing wrong with the player, I am very happy with its sound and cant see wanting to upgrade for a long while, I am just curious. I will probably never add a DAC anyways. My next player will be a Naim CDX2 if I can ever afford one!
