Re: TACT RCS 2.0 DD w/ Quad ESL 63 - Any good?

I'm okay with the weeks (and perhaps months) of tinkering that might be required, as well as with the 9db limitation. I'm considering a purchase directly from Tact (they sell a refurbished 2.0 on their webshop with all the accessories for $1,490 - presumably this includes the software - BTW, what's an rs-232 cable?). I have no doubt that the Tact works quite well in most environments, but I really have two specific queries:

1. Does DSP such as that provided by the Tact RCS work well (at all) with dipolar speakers like electrostats, or does the backwave compromise the Tact's abilities

2. Since I'll only be using the unit in the digital domain (D/D version only) and use no subwoofer, is the 2.0 as good as the 2.0S or 2.2X for my purposes?
