Re: For a sub $200 CD player is the Toshiba 3960 a no brainer?

When I owned the 3960 - for a few short weeks, there were a lot of CDs that the player wouldn't handle. Some of the CDs were those that I mastered on the computer. However, there were a few discs - factory pressed music CDs that also created problems and only the first few tracks would play - and the rest of the CD was toast.

I'm using the Magnavox (458?) that cost me $29 - and I'm running it with the DACs on the player fed into my Pioneer Elite receiver. Sounds pretty good to me. In fact, I almost think it sounds better than the 3960 did.
