Wow!! I would be rather ticked to say the least to spend pretty significant dollars on these players when they don't even seem to work as good as my 10 year old Pioneer. New technology but thanks, I'll wait for the second generation. This confirms my opinion on the "bargain bin" parts that went into these players. A noise would be fine if it was confined to a few players but not that many players have been sold.Everyone talks about the build quality cause they're heavy. I've seen some pretty high end CD players and yes they are heavy but not like the tank porportions of these SACD's. Glad you like the sound.... when they play properly. Thanks for being a SACD guinea pig!!
