...if they are running too close and/or parallel to power cords.Shielding can be used to combat interference problem, but using twisted speaker wire might be more desirable. Twisted [design] cables not only will help to cut down on interference, but it will also help to reduce speaker cable's inductance. So, it is like killing two birds with one stone :)
