Is solid core better than stranded as subwoofer speaker cable?

I'm just wondering whether it would be better to use solid core copper THHN wire or the same gauge in multistranded copper, Teflon insulated. Does the wire strand configuration matter if the subs are crossed @ 80 Hz witha slope of 24 dB/oct ?
