Interconnects, speaker wire, power cords. Ask the Cable Guys.

Is Teflon is bad for silver?

I have been listening to some hot new brand of pure silver interconnects. They have vastly outperformed my Homegrown Audio Super Silver II and my Bear Labs Silver Lightning. A friend of mine brought over his two sets of Pure Note Epsilon interconnects and they were also defeated by this underdog IC by no small margin. The cable's designer told me that one of the reasons they are so fast and clear is that he does not use Teflon as a dielectric. According to him, Teflon is indeed a really bad dielectric for silver; that this is widely known in the industry but still used because of its cheap price.

Anyone out there familiar with this subject?
