I have now finished the second pair of the interconnects and my tuner is sounding much improved. I managed to squeeze two pairs out of one roll of 25ft of the silver wire. Each interconnect is about 2'6" long.
I bought a Rat Shack resistence meter to ensure I had the right wires connected. Each interconnect shows a reading of 1.3 Ohm of resistence.
This was my first DIY project and was relatively easy thanks to your instructions. DIY is definitely the way to go for cables. I may try the CAT-5 recipe next to upgrade my speaker cables.
