Only on certain discs-I'm beginning to suspect its the discs, not the wire. as for the shininess, that too is only on certain discs-treble rich discs, frequently synthesiser music. Aagin, its inconsistant>>>

yea, I thought of that too.;-(
I'm not sure about lifting them-they are supposed to be impervious to other feilds that cause interference, besides my dog keep tripping over my cables when I raise them:-( As you say, I might have to swap some tubes...
