I should mention that technically, a braided quad hasn't any real advantage over a twisted quad with respect to susceptibility to magnetic interference. In fact, the braided quad would be slightly more susceptible owing to the slightly larger loop area resulting from the braiding making it slightly more inductive (and slightly less capacitive).What's nice about braiding is that it's largely self-restraining and doesn't require any sort of jacketing to keep the conductors together.
