I got some 26 gauge solid core silver wire. I sleeved this in Teflon tubing. I can't remember the gauge, 22 ga maybe? It was probably too big. I did a 4 wire braid. Two wires for signal and two for return. Terminated with some Dayton plugs. The bass did not seem to as tight or deep as PBJ. Midrange seemed to get recessed. Highs were extended but laid back (smooth). Overall, I wasn't crazy about the sound. I know it needs more break in. I need to break them in more and try them again. If all else fails, I can try the simple twisted pair. Maybe I'll have better results there.
Thanks again for the idea.
John
