despite the impedance issue, or OUTSIDE the impedance issue I should say, the PBJ was measured in the KK lab as a digital cable just for fun, and actually performed admirably with nice clean square waves and a few other tests. But I am reasonably certain it would be less than perfect as a digital cable as well. besides, there are no sacrifices to shielding a digital cable, so a shielded design has that advantage at least over the PBJ for this use, but it would probably work reasonably well.
