Cat 5, Silver Braid, ??? - What is best for rebuilding XO

208.61.82.203

I'm going to be rebuilding my entire Crossover for the Bass/Midrange of my Newform R645s with the following stuff:
2 Sheets of Blackhole 5 (This will be put on the inside Back & Top, but not the bottom and front, although there will be a few pieces put on the inside front
2 Cardas CCGR Short Binding Posts
2 MH 12 Gauge Inductor/Coil
2 mfd Axon Capacitors
8 Per Side Mills Resistors (There are currently 4 in each side now) These will be replaced by 4-30 ohm and 4-20 ohm per side

The question is, what should be used for wire when rebuilding this Crossover. I'm currently using Chris Venhaus Cat5 27 pair for the outside speaker cable to the Bass/Midrange and 9 Pair for the Ribbons. The ribbons aren't being rewired, as I Put a Capacitor inline with the Cat5 cable, directly to the ribbons.

Some people are recommending to just use plain 12 or 14 gauge stock type speaker cables. Others are recommending 16 or 18 gauge bare pure soft silver wire.

Any comments would be appreciated.
