RE: Heat Shrink

You will get a thicker Heat Shrink (HS) if you use the dual-wall type. Also, the less it actually shrinks, the thicker the layer will be, so sizing the Heat Shrink carefully will help.

It may not matter ... if your signal carrying wires are far enough away from your heat shrink layer ... but the thinner the HS, the less capacitance it will add to the cable. If it's a short distance it won't matter much but if you are using HS to enclose cable over any significant distance it's a potential issue.
