IMHO I have to pretty much whole heartedly agree with Duster on the DIY thing. IMHO the AC receptacle is what should be considered first. It will be a bit of work but likely much better sounding than many commercial alternatives. Maybe try one brass Hubble receptacle first and another "audiophile grade" one. 4 of those in a box with the X type cap will sound real good if you like the receptacle in the first place. HIFI has an 8 outlet aluminium box for $80. Real easy project with a premade box.
