Monster Cable aggressively pursued trademark protection, suing anyone with "Monster" in there name. (See link.) There was a lot of public outrage, with many Asylum members included, and Monster Cable backed down. If you go to their website now, there aren't any high end products, although I don't know if the two things are related.
