I'm planning on making a set of ICs with some soldering assistance from a friend of mine, and was wondering about the configuration. I was thinking about a star-quad; either two 28 gauge + and two - in an alternating wind, or one 28 gauge and one 26 in each direction. Or perhaps I should wind the positives in one direction and the negatives in the other so the conductors of opposite polarity cross each other at roughly a right angle. The same question about the gauges would apply.

What say ye, and perhaps more importantly, why?

both theories have been used. The star quad is still used, the other design has fallen out of favor - Smelly_Socks 11:00:40 07/25/16 (1)
