Hi Jim,

I just did the same with a couple raspberry pis using volumio (similar to rune audio).

I am cheap so i skipped the usb cable and plugged the rpi into the back of the converter using this: http://www.amazon.com/HDE%C2%AE-USB-Type-Male-Adapter/dp/B002B9AR8I?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
