Review: USB CABLE

So, I setup up a Raspberry Pi 3 with RuneAudio firmware to create a music server. The software is very nice. I use my iPad, iPhone and Windows Laptop to control and stream my entire music library wirelessly. Internet Radio Stations are available as well.

In the process of physically setting up the system I discovered that I needed a USB cable to connect USB Port of the Raspberry Pi 3 to my PS Audio DLIII DAC.

What to do? Order a high-end cable and wait days for it to be delivered? No! I went to my local Goodwill. They have an enormous variety of cables all mixed up together. I had to sort through the tangled mess until I found my USB cable. There it was, a white one, a six footer. The white dielectric had turned a dirty grey. But it was in excellent shape with gold contacts. The price was on the sticky tag, $0.99. I debated whether I should negotiate the price but decided to go for it.

That cable is amazing. It was already broken in. It conducted the 0s and 1s like no other USB cable I have ever heard. The music is jitter free, sweet and clean.

Next time you need a cable, remember, REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE.
