I spoke to Cardas yesterday, very very nice people. They will repair the end of an interconnect for $60. I was suprised to hear them request that I send both left and right cables in.
Since one cable is working perfectly I asked why. They explained that if they shorten the defective cable, this will allow them to make the other cable the exact same length, and if they decide to replace the cable, they can replace both at once.
