Well Jeff, you are somewhat correct. I wanted to get rid of the Cardas hexlink 5 for a couple of reasons and finally did, so I am without my main cable. I recommended the mag wire for a budget speaker wire. I went to Home Depot and got some 12 AWG solid wire , generic stuff to have something to listen to and it blows away the Cardas $800 wire. A long time ago I guess I was tricked somehow. Haven't ordered up the 10AWG mag wire because this complete junk from Home Depot sounds so good and I've been thinking of other things. Clearer, faster more articulate bass, maybe slightly deeper, but only maybe, the Cardas is 10AWG total. The midrange is slightly more forward and realistic and cymbals have a more accurate brassy sound. The request for a recommendation is because I, like many others think that spending lots of money on wire made by special people with great reviews should be better than simple solid core wire , mag or otherwise. Technically the HD wire is not mag so caulk one up Jeff. You really nailed this one. Brilliant, and useful. Tweaker
