I use the Clear Day ICs as a S/Pdif cable.Really first rate.
The earlier cables with the Eichman connector are a little faster sounding.The current production ICs tip the scales downward a little,giving more emphasis on the lower mids/midbass.
Both have a good deal of transparency,just slightly different flavoring.
If your system id slightly forward,then use the current production.It has a more "controlled" top-end and slightly better detailing on bass instrument bowing.Older has better snap and a little better expansion into space or "air around instruments.
Only a direct comparison between the two will show off this aspect of the soundCost:$165/ 1 meter pair.Make the other a gift to a good friend.
