Opinions on Goertz MI-2 vs. Kimber 8TC.

Hi all, my system is an Adcom GFA-555 modded by Jim Williams, going into Amphion One18 monitors, in a pro composing studio. Right now I'm using Monoprice 14-gauge speaker cable because I had a bunch laying around. I'm cautious to get into the world of cables because I know there's much disagreement over them, but I would nonetheless like to hear from those who have had experience with both the Goertz MI-2 and Kimber 8TC. They are both in my budget -- I can absolutely not afford anything more expensive at this point.

What I need is the most transparent and fast high end without compromising bass or midrange (I know: This is a tall order in this price range, perhaps). From what I've read the Goertz MI-2 might be the better choice, but I definitely don't want any kind of rounded-off top end -- I mix for a living and the sound needs to be as full as possible throughout the entire range. "Warm" is not something I need in this case; "Accurate" without being strident is. I need to make sure that the MI-2 is not too "warm" sounding.

Thanks for any help.
