If we're talking "blue" in color, I have two blue IC's that have been excellent for the money.( though not as cheap as the mentioned cable)
Tara Prism 22 and CRL Blue Note. I believe my old AQ Type 4 speaker cable was dark blue as well, and it was a decent cable. So you may be on to something.
