RE: (Thanks!) Here's a link to Kester Tin/Copper... (nt)

Jonesy, A comment about the Chimera solder on audiogon by someone who listened to solder said it sounded very good but needed to be coated with Teflon nail polish to prevent corrosion. The Kester solder brought to our attention by DeKay is .7%cu, Chimera's is reported to be 1.5%cu, the Alpha Core on ebay is 2% cu, closer to Chimeras. Once again the person at Alpha Core said that there was no more problem with cu solder and corrosion than with any other tin lead type solder. Looks like DeKay had no problem with his cu solder connection and corrosion after cleaning the connection after soldering but not coating it. Dennis is or was extremely concerned with sound quality and was a copper man like myself. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to use it on electronics. There really shouldn't be any problem with it but paranoia strikes deep. Tweaker
