Interconnects, speaker wire, power cords. Ask the Cable Guys.

RE: Anyone try the new Pangea interconnects?

Well, I would unscrew the plugs, and check to see that it has two wires plus the shielding. If so, carefully remove the shielding. Put some of that expanding webbing [can't think of it's correct name, I have some from building diy power cords] and some shrink wrap for stress relief and to hold cover in place.

Yes, it would void any warranty, but you would now have an unshielded cable with the good Cardas copper. At $70 for a 1m pair, I would be tempted to do some diy on it.

A good idea, maybe not. What do you think?

I have become a fan of Audioquest cables, but from preamp to power amp, I have a 15ft pair of Signature Tech Siglynx, which is a silver wire, for positive, and the shield is used as the second wire. I recently read somewhere how using two identical wires is a better way to go.
I was considering trying the Pangea ICs, but I am very happy with the sound I'm getting, and I am having no noise issues. When I upgraded my preamp, the noise floor dropped substantially. Old preamp had a little tube hiss, only audible within a foot of the speakers, but when it was gone, I really heard the difference with so much better resolution of fine details.
