RE: Pangea is OK

I am getting good results.I bought two Shunyata Black Mambas, one a CX and the other a CX/HC.These went on the Ayre pre and x250 bass amp respectively.Very nice and exactly what I would expect to hear per the reviews.-turbo-charged.
The High Fidelity is a no-brainer.Every time I return to it,it is just that much more natural.Similar to the IC,no hype.Makes the recording venue more palpable and performers sound like they are together on a stage.By contrast the AU24e IC sounded 2D.Slightly more articulate, but in the end much preferred the HFs.
The biggest surprise was the Fusion Audio Magic Rhodium and Gold versions of this PC.A little too warm on the crossover and amps. But on the digital it was "magic".Articulate with appropriate warmth, slightly more so on the Gold.It has the largest soundstage and similar to the HFs,a dimensionality to the soundstage and performers upon it.Very good bloom and decay.Just the right touch.I would be curious to hear a set made with the Wattgate connectors.
As I understand it,these were designed using strictly digital sources and suits that medium to a "T".Very impressive.
I have some Analysis Plus Oval 2s that will pass through and a pair of Nordost Frey2s.These will be tried on the remaining pieces(pre/line,crossover and a pair of monoblocks).
I will update my findings as things progress.
