Interconnects for tube system?

Fellow Inmates...

Too long didn't read version: Suggestions needed for under $200 interconnects for tube-based stereo.

Years ago I purchased 2 pairs of silver interconnects from a sorta-DIY vendor on Audiogon (Black Mountain cable). Nice build, WBT connections.

Always sounded good to me, seemed like some real synergy going on. never felt the need to upgrade/change. that is, until I brought them over to a friends house who was using inexpensive copper interconnects. My system is tubed McIntosh (details below), his is solid state McIntosh.

When I swapped in my interconnects the sound took a turn to the worst. Way too bright, lost the soundstage, almost brittle. Put back his interconnects and everything snapped back into place. Sounded great.

Now I'm rethinking what I'm using, maybe it's time for me to upgrade. Any suggestions for some reasonably priced (Under $200) interconnects? I'd need them to go from the PH3 to the C22, and from the C22 to the 225. My system is almost exclusively for vinyl.

McIntosh C22 (original, up to spec)
ARC PH3 phono preamp
McIntosh MC225 amp
Silverline Audio Panatella II speakers

Thanks in advance!
