Sorry but I am right regardless of where you live ;) Facts are no altered by your location.
In Europe there are typically two types of plug - two pin, no earth and two pin with earth. Most sockets have earth, but not all. Both types are compatible with each other.
The point I was making was that in Europe there is no way to reliably plug your power cord in the same way without resorting to marking it somehow.
This was in reply people who claim that you have serious problems, maybe even safety issues if you cross L and N.
