I have pedestrian 'phile gear, but have noticed improvement in sonics/video image comparing straight into the wall/using the pooh poohed Monster strip.

It took a hit, saved the rig and now dead. I've read conflicting reviews
so I'm hesitant to fork over twice the dough for essentially the same protection and would like to hear from users who have gone down the same path. Or, maybe I will just try and take the hit on shipping if I send it back and get another Monster?
