REVIEW: Oyaide OCB-1 SX V2

The Oyaide OCB-1 SX V2 is a 4 outlet power strip with captive Black Mamba power cord 2 meters in length.

The build is excellent and black. It arrived in just over 1 week from Japan. Ive seen this listed for $500 plus from one online vendor but this was about $260 via Amazon.

The breakin took at least 200 hours before its balanced presentation took place. Bright at first then it very gradually settled in. My previous strip for the power amps is the Noisetrapper NANA which is been in place for quite sometime.

Ive always thought my EC preamp was a bit tilted to the warm side. Replacing the NANA made me realize that the warmth was coming from the NANA. (V1)

It took me a long time to replace the NANA, after all it was only supplying power to the Classe CAM200 amps. I found the amps sounded the best plugged straight into the wall and this is continued here with the Oyaide.

The sound is very clean and well balanced with nothing standing out and everyone of my benchmark pieces of music are improved.

Highly recommended - especially after shopping around and finding amazingly high prices for other competing products.

For reference my system is listed here:
