If the Silents are that ribbon type design that look to be magnet wire sandwiched between two pieces of clear packing tape, I have a broken pair myself. You pretty much hit the sonic signature on the head.....plus their tendency to eventually fail. If you want to mimic that sonic signature with a bit more body thrown in, I would suggest either the ClearDay IC or the Morrow MA2 with Eichmann's. Unfortunately neither is $100. The CD is around $170 and the Morrow probably a shade over $200 unless you can find a used pair( with Eichmann's) on his site. The CD uses somewhat of an Eichmann knock off. The reason I'm suggesting the Morrow MA2 specifically with Eichmann's is that IHMO it simply sounds much better than when fitted with standard RCA's.
