I enjoyed the LP12 and Alphason HR-100S combination for very many years. I then bought an Oyaide tonearm cable and was delighted with the improvement. This cable is available with a 90 degree DIN connector and falls within your budget. Dare I suggest that you give it a little time to get 'comfortable' with its new surroundings.
