As mentioned, the DC umbilical may sound fine if the braided shield floats at both ends (not connected at either end), but I can't predict if that is true, but it would be safe. The Highwire Power Wrap should be a must-try if you don't ground the shield, since it may act as an RF antenna and resonate if not suppressed via a Power Wrap.
