Yes, I use a digital optical output which provides electrical isolation between the computer and the audio system(s). The Monarchy Audio DIP is a must-have when using a Toslink cable, IMHO.
Note: The Monarchy Audio device is a DIP (Digital Interface Processor), not to be confused with a DAC (Digital to Analog Converter). The DIP optimizes the digital optical signal and outputs a conditioned (precision clock output) signal via 75 ohm S/PDIF digital electrical output. A digital coaxial cable then connects the DIP to a DAC. The result is a much better sounding digital to analog conversion, IME.
