Ah, now I understand!
YOU decide what and how things are defined now on the AA, is that it, Duster?
As CLEARLY mentioned in my cited preview, my previous DIY Carol Cable-based power cords (at a hair less than $100, including Furutech FI-11 Cu plug and IEC connectors) absolutely crushed the vaunted Kimber "Palladian", a well-known mega-buck cable, and many other $600+ designs over the years. Yet, my giant-killing Carol Cable DIY power cords were utterly annihilated by the new, entry-level MSA power cord. So, in my experience, the MSA power cord IS a 'giant killer'. (Actually, a 'giant-killer killer'.)
But I guess that doesn't count. And neither do Alan Maher's past opinions on bulk Carol Cable being excellent for DIY, as well, do they? Guess not.
And so you come in and loudly 'proclaim' that a given phrase isn't appropriate because it doesn't meet YOUR standards? And all with a cable you haven't even heard? And despite another poster having already chimed in and said, "Winston's basically been on the nose with the MSA products."
Worst of all, you then make a literally mindless comparison to YOUR favorite design of power cord that sells entry-level for $749 and think, somehow, that that in ANY way compares to a $139 power cord, within the reach of almost any audiophile?
I suspect most audiophiles do NOT own $750 power cords (let alone five of them), and would not consider them 'cheap' or inexpensive. Thus, the MSA "First" against your beloved AirSine would be a very nice "David vs Goliath" scenario.
And so again I say, it's a giant killer.
Try it, you'll like it. (And it might even kick your "AirSine" cable's ass!)
But you'll never know unless you try it.
