It seems to me AQ designed their power cords to support their strong avocation of solid core cable designs, of which I fully agree in regards to all other audiophile cable types *other than* AC power cords and DC umbilical cords. I find the sonic signature of solid core conductor detachable IEC aftermarket power cords to be very colored sounding, if not simply too identifiable as sounding distinctly "unnatural" vs. that of the vast majority of stranded conductor audiophile power cords. my 2 cents
