In Reply to: I HATE to confess, but really truly: three Pangea good, four bad. The 4th cord just sucks the life out posted by Elizabeth on August 23, 2012 at 14:09:26:
Seems the problem is the cumilative effect of cords. like daisy chaning conditioners. (which, naturally i have tried in the past)
So what to do??
While daydreaming last night the solution: Stick my old unused Monster Power conditioner for just the cord which seem to fail due to doubling up.
So I stuck my Monster HTPS7000SS into thewall, with just the Bryston BP-26 with the Pangea AC9SE (and also VAC Standard too)
Well it seems to be good. So the plus of the AC9SE, and not the leaness problem.
Have to use it for awaile with more music to see if it is really fine. But so far it seems to be a good resolution to the dilemma.
The mids and all are good again using all four cords. The Monster is a little more 'steely' than the Furman. The Furman has a slight golden glow to the sound, where the Monster is harder.

- The Pangea AC9 and AC9SE are the same gauge. SE is just 'more' of the same as AC9. nt - Elizabeth 23:21:40 08/26/12 (1)
