Hello again Paul,
I have been studying your post and noticed that with the Bob Crump "Asylum" power cable you made, you connected the drain at the wall plug end.
Is there any reason why you connected the drain at the wall plug end as opposed to the IEC plug end? (Chris VH connects the drain at the other end, ie at the IEC end, for his equivalent Flavor#1 design)
Also, any reason why you did not follow the original Bob Crump "Asylum" recipe where the drain is connected at both ends of the power cable?
Any idea which is supposed to be the "ideal" end to connect the drain to? Surely connecting it at both ends risks introducing ground loops so it has to be one end or the other, but which one and why??
Thanks in advance for any helpful feedback.
Kind regards
Gaby
