I've experimented with different AC plug/IEC connector plating combinations, and sometimes the results are not problematic, but I no longer attempt to mix & match, other than the tried & true Furutech FI-11M(Cu) copper AC plug and Furutech FI-11(Ag) silver IEC connector combination. I now simply stick to a same AC plug/IEC connector plating for any given power cord build, since the synergy of mix & match pairings with different platings is quite unpredictable. However, there's nothing inherently wrong if one chooses to do so.
