An unintentional offense for which some apology is offered.

My words were not meant to be harsh. Just an observation.

Inadvertently, I gave the impression that I didn't think the EconoTweaks were possibly any good, which was NOT my intention. I can see how it would be misread from the word "mediocre". I was referring to single R-C vs. R-C arrays in my experience. For the record, I have no experience with the EconoTweaks from which to draw a direct comparison otherwise.

I've been personally through the iterations from the simple single R-C (including shielded without TI or ground), through complex arrays, through the TI-shielded, and then the grounded. And to my ears, the whole magilla is a better sounding device than any of the earlier iterations.

I've used the same caps that Al recommended, and they sound great. I know of his own experimentation, which was extensive. That's not to say, as Al says above, that it's impossible to best the ones we have been using, of course. YMMV

So never having heard what you heard with the cap you chose, all I can offer is that someone can DIY this stuff with great results, if they want to, or they can buy your simpler design off the shelf from you and be satisfied as well.

FWIW, I was very satisfied with one simple R-C, then one on each end was better, then better caps and resistors in an array was better still, then Ti-shield was even better, and finally the grounded Ti array the best I've heard in my system to date. Having heard them through similar iterations on Al's system, which is completely different from my own, with the same impressions, what other conclusion would you draw?

My apologies if you were offended, which was not the intent.

We are all better off when any of us continues to explore ways to make any of these tweaks more effective. My hat's off to you for your R&D on these new caps, which I wouldn't mind hearing myself.
